On July 15, 2023, Sabrina Ionescu stepped into the WNBA 3-Point Contest — and changed basketball history.
In round one, she put up 26 points. Impressive.
But in the finals, she delivered something beyond impressive: 37 out of a possible 40 points.
The best shooting performance ever in the contest, men’s or women’s.
So what made it possible?
In her post-round interview, Sabrina summed it up:
“I was just focused on making one at a time.”
